How do I know the doctor is one I can trust?

UberDoc are vetted through a stringent credentialing process. If a doctor does not meet our strict standard of excellence, we do not invite them to become an UberDoc.

How much does it cost?

A flat fee of $250 for the consultation ($50 for qualified Medicare patients). You pay $50 when you book the appointment and another $200 after you see the doctor.

What is included in the $250 cost?

Each appointment booked through UberDoc is $250. This is for an in-office consultation or an online, telemedicine conference with a top doctor regarding the medical complaint that you list on the HIPAA-protected appointment request form while booking your appointment. All other consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments are considered a separate encounter, and paid for separately.

Do you accept Medicare?

Many UberDoc are Medicare providers. If the doctor is not a Medicare provider, they will not accept your appointment request as a Medicare patient. Qualified Medicare patients* pay only $50 for the appointment. *Patient must have valid Medicare coverage that includes in-office consults (Part B), physician must be a Medicare provider, and the specialty type must be entitled by Medicare (MD and DO visits).

Can I use my insurance?

UberDoc works outside insurance. Your UberDoc appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

What insurance do you take?

The UberDoc platform does not accept insurance. You cannot use insurance to pay for an UberDoc appointment. Your UberDoc appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

What is telehealth?

Telehealth is defined as being the distribution of health related services. UberDoc works as a telehealth and telemedicine platform, connecting Patients with available Doctors. Our telehealth services allow you to meet with Doctors in record time, without the hassle of waiting in an office. But, if telehealth isn’t your thing, we also have options for you to meet in person with Doctor’s near you.

Is this telemedicine?

UberDoc’s medical specialists have the option of offering;  both in-person and telemedicine visits, in-person only, or telemedicine only.  The search results display the doctor’s “Visit Type Available” with each doctor listed. If both visit types are available, you will be prompted to choose how you want to meet the doctor when you book the appointment.

Do UberDoc have video (telemedicine) consults?

Many UberDoc highly-qualified medical specialists offer telemedicine visits.  The search results display the doctor’s “Visit Type Available” with each doctor listed. If both in-person and telemedicine visit types are available, you will be prompted to choose how you want to meet the doctor when you book the appointment.

What if I need surgery or additional testing?

UberDoc is for the initial consultation only. The $250 guarantees you an in-office visit with a Board Certified medical specialist. All subsequent care can be through your insurance.

Will this apply to my deductible?

No (most people never reach their deductibles). However, with UberDoc, you can use your HSA (Health Savings Account) or FSA (Flexible Spending Account).

What if I cancel my appointment?

As long as it is not within 24 hours of the appointment, you will receive a full refund.

Is there an UberDoc near me?

Most likely, yes. You simply include your zip code in your search and the results will display specialists’ offices listed in order of distance from the zip code you entered.

What if I don’t have insurance?

No problem. There is no referral needed for the first appointment. Payment is made via HSA (Health Savings Account), FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or credit card.

How fast can I get an appointment?

Appointments can be made as soon as within 12 hours, or as soon as the doctor you’re looking to see has listed an open appointment.

Do you treat children?

Of course. Please know that UberDoc offices are not pediatric urgent care facilities. With the exception of Geriatric Medicine, UberDoc specialists are in practice to see patients of all ages, and UberDoc is the fastest way to see a specialist near you.

What if I need a specialist close to home or work?

The choice is yours. You can find an UberDoc based on zip codes closest to your home or work.

What if I want a 2nd opinion?

If you want to get a second opinion, this is a perfect option for you. You do not need a referral from your PCP or insurance company to see an UberDoc.

What if I’m going out of town & need quality care?

Whether you have travel medical insurance or not, there are no worries whenever you are near an UberDoc. Rest assured all UberDoc are vetted through a stringent credentialing process to ensure they meet our strict standard of excellence.

I need to use my HSA (Health Savings Account)

UberDoc is one of the HSA Eligible Expenses. Simply input your Health Savings Account number and the $250 will be deducted without any work on your part.

What if I haven’t met my annual (yearly) deductible?

If you haven’t met your health insurance deductible for the year, you’re an ideal candidate for UberDoc. Since high insurance deductibles are rarely met, we welcome payment by HSA (Health savings Account), FSA (Flexible Spending Account) or credit card.

What if I’m in college/I’m the parent of a college student?

Student healthcare is our priority too. UberDoc accepts all major credit cards. Student health insurance can be used for subsequent visits.
